Field Notes - The primordial beauty of "The Real Florida" is overwhelming, especially on a drizzling afternoon. The light rain was actually a relief from the oppressive heat and humidity of a Florida summer afternoon.  These woods are so full of life ranging from tiny lizards, spiders, squirrels, wild hogs and, of course, the ever present mosquitoes.
